Meditation, Mindfulness and Affirmation
Many people say that "I haven't got the ability to meditate, my mind is too busy!" This is a common theme and people are often surprised when they find out that just about everyone (until they learn some basic techniques) has the same "monkey mind" that wants to jump from one thing to another and/or chatters away in the background.
In addition to helping quieten the mind and calm the body, meditation and mindfulness can used to help manage chronic pain/illness and enourage healing of the body and mind.
Meditation and mindfulness can be practised by those having a specific faith background or none! No previous experience is required, just the willingness to give it go!
Tuition/consultation/coaching can be provided in several techniques, including:
breath-based meditation techniques
mantra-based meditation techniques
bodywork (including simple Chi Kung /Tai Chi movements)
loving-kindness and compassion meditation (the 'heart practices')
Affirmative prayer/meditation (use of affirmations)
Jim has experience working with numerous meditation techniques, especially Buddhist, Taoist and secular mindfulness techniques.
Individual rates are fixed at £30 (50 minute session) with free initial consultation over the phone. Sessions can also be provided on Skype if you are outside of the North West of England or if you cannot travel. Please get in touch for more information or to arrange a session.
