Tuition, mentoring and treatments are provided by Jim Wilson, who first became interested in complementary healing, meditation and the contemplative arts after having undergone major surgery in his youth, which resulted in a chronic pain problem. 

 

 Jim has many years of experience in using meditation, mindfulness and Chi Kung to promote well-being, reduce stress and manage chronic pain Jim has studied and taught meditation and mindfulness for many years. He is also a Usui Reiki Master Practitioner and a certified Ho'oponopono practitioner.  He also teaches how to combine affirmative prayer and meditation to counteract negative thoughts and emotions which lead to stress and can exacerbate ill-health.  

Jim originally trained as a scientist and therefore values modern medicine, but also recognizes the effect that the mind can have on the body and how meditation, mindfulness, and Reiki/energy work can promote well-being. The approaches used by Jim are aimed to be complementary in nature and can be used alongside conventional medical treatment.  In addition to many years of Buddhist meditation training, Jim has also undertaken training in counselling skills and person-centred communication. He aims to treat all individuals with kindness and care, in a non-judgmental, honest way.  He is married with two children.
